Every trainer and assessor used meets the competence requirements applicable to the course delivered; competence is checked before deployment and records are maintained; a suitably competent person is responsible for quality assurance; subcontractors are subject to the same controls.

Course content covers the relevant syllabus and current accepted first-aid practice; adequate contact and practical time is provided; changes to accepted practice are incorporated promptly; course-specific risks or additional content are handled without displacing mandatory content.

Suitable and sufficient equipment is available and maintained; learner numbers and trainer ratios allow effective teaching, practice and assessment; practical competence is directly assessed before certification; attendance alone is not treated as competence; unsuccessful learners are managed fairly and safely.

Learners can disclose support needs before or during training; reasonable adjustments are considered fairly and confidentially; adjustments do not remove essential competence requirements; significant adjustments are recorded where appropriate.

Certificates are issued only after successful completion; certificates contain the learner name, course title, dates, validity information and provider identity, plus any required statements; certificate records can be retrieved and corrected where necessary.

Certificate content is set centrally by the IVOSA Certificate Content Standard — this is an IVOSA document, not a policy a provider adopts or adapts, so there is no choice to make here.

Online learning is suitable for the course and learner group; identity, participation and completion controls are proportionate; learners receive technical and educational support; practical teaching and assessment are completed through direct observation; sufficient practical/contact time remains.

A safeguarding lead is named and contactable; everyone delivering on our behalf understands how to recognise and report a concern; appropriate recruitment and criminal-record checks are carried out where roles require them; safeguarding records are kept securely and confidentially.

Associates and subcontractors are checked and approved before independent delivery; written expectations cover standards, records and use of our name and IVOSA registration; delivery is monitored in proportion to risk; the registered provider remains responsible for work delivered under its name.

Learners and customers can make complaints; assessment decisions can be appealed; malpractice, maladministration and false records are investigated; material concerns are escalated to the responsible person.

Appropriate records are maintained to demonstrate the declarations made; evidence will be provided for a commissioned audit or justified integrity investigation. Record-keeping duration is IVOSA guidance unless a mandatory basis is separately established.

Permission to publish the agreed standards record; significant changes will be notified; annual renewal and re-declaration; false or misleading declarations may result in suspension or removal.

Audit marker. Every declaration above is shown on your public record as self-declared, clearly marked apart from anything IVOSA has independently audit-verified. Registration alone never displays as "audited" — that marker only appears once an evidence-based audit has actually taken place.
